What is the essence of circulation?

by Ann Reed last modified 2007-06-21 15:44

A circulation count is all about the patron taking an item (or file) for use outside the library.

With this essence, one would not count:

1. items sent to other libraries

2. items sent to internal library functions - such as bindery

3. items used and left on tables in the public area
